Summer 2012. 4 Across the Minch and Stornoway

July 12^th

Left Loch Inver and sailed across the Minch towards Stornoway .

July 13^th :

Enjoyed sailing a real boat ! , a traditional , wooden open fishing boat in Stornoway harbour :

Summer 2012. 3 Loch Inver

July 10^th :

Sailed around the point of Stoer and arrived at Loch Inver .

Summer 2012. 2. Lochan Saile

July 7^th :  Left Kinlochbervie and sailed to Badcall islands and anchored at Lochan Saile. 

 

Enjoyed walks at Badcall bay:

Prepared a birthday cake for Elif the next day,  July the 8th :

Summer 2012. 1. Back on board, sailing in Scotland

After spending fall in Stromness fitting a new kitchen at Ness, then winter in Canada with daughters and cats, and spring in Turkey , we are finally back on Escapade , enjoying sailing on the west coast of Scotland.

3^rd and 4^th of July :

Left Stromness on July the 3^rd  in the afternoon , heading to mainland Scotland.

Arrived at Kyle of Tongue, next day at 3:15 a.m ,  anchored at Talmine bay .  

 

Left on the same day sailing towards west to Loch Eribol and enjoyed seeing some dolphins and a big whale ( approx. 5 meters ) on the way.

5^th of July:

Sailed towards Cape Wrath in thick fog ( about a 100 meter visibility ) for 3.5 hours and arrived alongside the pontoon at Kinlochbervie harbour. 

We are now at Kinlochbervie harbour , preparing to leave soon towards Badcall islands.
